VIT University Admission 2020
All the students who wish to study in VIT University have to crack VITEEE entrance exam. VIT organizes its own entrance exam, called the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). It is conducted every year in the month of April and May. But due to COVID-19 exam has been postponed and last date to apply for b.tech admission is 31st July,2020. In 2019, over two lakh students or two hundred thousand students appeared for the entrance examination. The exam has been conducted online since 2013. The VITEEE has consistently been easier than other engineering entrance exams like JEE Mains (formerly AIEEE) and JEE Advanced (formerly IIT-JEE).
VITEEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: The applicant for admission should be a Resident/Non-Resident Indian National/PIO Holder.
Age Limit: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1998 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2020.
The date of birth as recorded in the High School Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling, failing which, they will be disqualified.
Qualifying Examination: Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2020 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2020.
