PREREQUISITES:

CSE is one of the top-notch branches of engineering and taking admission in this course has a few requirements. Have a look at them!

EDUCATION: It is mandatory to have done physics, chemistry, and maths in your 11th and 12th classes. This trio is often referred to as “non-medical”. In short, you cannot opt for CSE or any engineering if you haven’t taken up these subjects. You should score between 60-75% as your PCM aggregate in the board examinations.

ENTRANCE EXAMS: JEE-Mains in the prime examination to get admission to most Indian colleges. JEE-Advance is the exam to enter the might IITs. Some colleges like BIITS have their separate entrance exams too.

CUTOFF:

The cutoff simply varies for CSE in different colleges. But you should know that the highest scoring students get a seat in this course. As I earlier mentioned, this course contains the cream of engineering students.

India is a hub for good engineering colleges. All of them ensure quality education and promising placements. CSE is one of the main branches. An engineering college without this branch would pretty much be incomplete and incompetent.

IITs are not the only option for an engineering college in our country. They are super hard to get into so you shouldn’t beat yourself in case you fail to get an admission. Other private colleges like the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, BIITS, etc. are extremely promising and worthy.

JEE-MAINS, ADVANCE

A good score in the infamous JEE-Mains and Advance is your key to some of the top colleges in India.

SYLLABUS: Both these examinations have questions based on PCM( Physics, chemistry, math’s) of classes 11th and 12th. The questions are Multiple-Choice-Questions or MCQ’s.  The level of difficulty is higher for the Advance exam. You need to practice way more difficult questions if you’re aiming for JEE-Advance.

DIFFICULTY: The JEE exams are not famous for being a piece of cake. You’ll need much more than NCERT-level practice to get a decent score in the same. Many students follow coaching centers and test series to prepare for these.

The market is open and hungry for computer engineers. The job of a computer engineer is one of the highest-paid jobs. In India, CSE is one of the most demanding fields. From web developers to software developers to hardcore coders,  there are numerous jobs for every field. Coding and programming are not just limited to computer engineering.
