The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) is getting ready to conduct the UP Police Computer Operator Grade-A Exam 2025 for 930 vacancies. This exam gives an excellent opportunity for individuals with a computer or IT background to join the UP police department in a technical role.
According to the latest updates, the official notification about exam will probably be released in August or September 2025, at which point the application window will also open. The written exam is expected to be conducted in October or November 2025, however specific dates will be announced on the UPPRPB website.
Selection Process and Pattern :
The process will be going to take place in two stages as followed :
Stage 1 – Written Exam
It is a Objective type exam, 160 questions (200 marks), no negative marking. The written exam covers General Knowledge, Reasoning, Mental Ability, and Computer Knowledge.
Stage 2 – Typing Test
25 WPM in Hindi & 30 WPM in English.

How to prepare?
To prepare effectively for the UP Police Computer Operator Exam, focus on General Knowledge, Reasoning and Computer Awareness with good standard books and mock tests. Along with this focus on typing practice for daily success. Type in Hindi at 25 words per minute and in English at 30 words per minute. There are typing tests on Testbook or Typing Master to practice speed and testing. Stay updated on exam news before you sit the exam too.
