IIST 2021 Admission Important Dates
The application forms to take admission into IIST will be out in the second week of April 2021, last week for submission is last week of April 2021. The last day to submit application fee is first week of May 2021. The display list for the interview will take place in last week of May 2021. The results will be out in second week of June 2021 and the classes will begin from August 2021.

IIST 2021 Application Form
The application forms will be released online. Candidates will be able to fill the forms online for UG courses from the first week of june and in PG Courses from second week of April 2021. Students will have to fill correct details about their self and educational qualifications. Students will have to upload the scanned photograph and signature in the application form. After filling up the application forms correctly candidates are requested to take the print out for future reference.
Application Form Fee
The fee for the male candidates in all categories is Rs. 600 and for female candidates in all categories is Rs 300. The fee will be payed online and is non refundale. Fee can be paid by credit or debit card or Net banking. This was the fee payment detail of the UG course and for PG course the fee for general category is Rs. 600 and for SC/ST and females it is Rs. 300 only. Again it will be payed online.
IIST 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
Eligibility For UG Courses
- Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects from any recognised board or university.
- Applying candidates must have obtained at least 75% marks(65% marks for reserved category) in their qualifying exam.
- Applying candidate’s DOB must fall on or after 1stOctober 1996 (1st October 1991 for reserved category candidates).
- Candidates must have valid JEE Advanced 2021score cards with minimum qualifying marks.
Eligibility For PG Courses
- Applying candidates should not be more than 32 years old.For reserved category candidates there is relaxation in age criteria.
- Candidates must have passed Tech/ B.E/ M.Scwith 60% marks (55% marks for reserved category).
- Candidate should have GATE, UGC NET/ JESTscore cards with minimum qualifying marks.

IIST 2021 Admission Rank List
For UG Courses the rank list will be released in the 3rd week of June 2021 and for PG courses it will release in the second week of May 2021. The rank list will be released online. The rank list for UG Courses will be released on the basis of the marks of national level examination JEE Advanced and for PG Courses it will be released on the basis of marks of GATE/UGC NET/JEST. Candidates are advised to take the printout of their rank card and based on the list issued the candidates will be called for the interview rounds. The interview rounds will be held only for the PG courses.
IIST Admission 2021 Counseling
The counseling process will be done once the rank list is published. The counseling will take place in the offline mode only and candidates will have to report in the counseling by person. Seat allotment, document verification will be held during counseling and without the verification of documents the seats will not be alloted. PG students will have to give the interview. IIST 2021 Cut Off
The cut off of the examination will be released online. Cut off is the minimum marks which a candidate will have to cross for taking admission into any institution. The cut off will have to be checked by the candidates on the official website of the institution. The cut off will be based on rank, category, interview performance for PG students and seat availability. Once the cut off marks is out candidates will be called for the counseling process and will be given admissions after document verification and seat allotment.
