JEE Advanced 2020: What to do after result?Check Admission Process,Cut-Off

The results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced have been announced.  Students who have cleared the examination are now eager to know about the admission process.  Chirag Falor has topped the JEE Advanced and he is also the topper of the JEE Main examination. If we talk about the female candidates then Kanishka Mittal with all India rank 17 and score 315 is the topper.

Students can check their results and can download the results from jeeadv.ac.in. Students who have cleared the examination and are eager to know the admission process can check here what they have to do now after clearing the examination and how can they take the admission.

Joint Entrance Examination Admission Process

JEE Advanced results are out now and students who are successful in clearing the examination are now wanting to know the admission process. So, here are all the details.

The counseling and seat allotment result will be arranged by the Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JosAA).  The admission process will commence for 23 IITS, 31NITS, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IITs, and 29 GFTIs that is Government Funded technical institutions. The counseling will be done as a centralized online admission process. Joint Seat Allotment Authority registration will commence from 6 October 2020.

Counseling Process JEE Advanced

The counseling process for Joint Entrance Examination Advanced will be done by following the steps below

  1. The first step will be registration
  2. The second step will be Choice filling and locking
  3. The third step will be Seat Allotment
  4. The fourth step will be fee payment and then reporting at the centers.

Cut Off : JEE Advanced 2020

The cut-off marks for JEE Advanced 2020 have been released by the Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi. The cut-off marks are the minimum marks that have to obtain by the candidate to qualify the entrance examination. Those who haven’t crossed the cut-off marks released by IIT-Delhi will not be able to qualify the exam and those who have crossed it will be eligible to apply for admission into the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology through JoSAA.

What Are The JEE Cut Off Marks For Different Categories?

The minimum percentage of marks in each subject and minimum percentage of aggregate marks are listed here category wise respectively. For the common rank list it is 10 and 35, For the Gen-EWS rank list it is 9 and 31.5, For the OBC-NCL rank list it is 9 and 31.5, for the SC rank list it is 5 and 17.5, for ST it is 5 and 17.5.

The admissions will be given on the basis of JEE Advanced ranks. The candidates who have crossed the cut-off marks will be issued the rank card for the entrance examination. The admission cut-off for JEE Advanced will be issued available at the completion of each round of the counseling process when the last ranks for admission into different branches in each Indian Institute of Technology will be out by JoSAA. The cut-off for each IIT, each category, each branch, etc will be different.

Q 2. Do students fail in IIT?

Ans.-As such, not getting successful in IIT-JEE is technically a no-failure.

Q 3.Is 98 percentile good in JEE mains?

Ans.-Since you have scored 98 percentile in JEE mains your general rank would lie around approx 20,000. Based on this rank you can get mechanical in your state nit it is difficult to get cs.
