1. COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING:

ABOUT: This is a generation of tech-savvy people. We consider not knowing how to operate a laptop or a mobile phone outdated. So imagine knowing what makes your phone function the way it does. It is a very interesting subject and makes you think beyond the capabilities of a common man. Haven’t you wondered how your laptop works? Or how does Google find the answer to every question so quickly? CSE will answer this for you.

SCOPE: cse is one of the trending branches in today’s times. With everything getting automatic and computerized, this branch of engineering has one of the highest numbers of job opportunities. You can take up an MBA  course, or get a specialization degree, M.tech. The job opportunities are also abundant and endless.

2. ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING:

ABOUT: Electronics and computer engineering or ENC is like a middle path between electronics and computers. If you are fairly interested in both computers and mechanics, it is a perfect field for you. In this branch, you learn about communication models and how to implement them and even about software technologies.

SCOPE: This branch has an added advantage of having a little of both the subjects. Students are eligible for both electronics and computer-oriented jobs. It has a large scope in the government and private sectors. Taking up higher studies in this field is also beneficial for the future.

3. ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING:

ABOUT: Have you ever made a phone call? Or read an online article using your Wi-Fi? Well, I am sure most of you have. Moving on, have you ever wondered how the traffic lights work and how they are always working along with the same pattern? How interesting would it be to actually know how it all works! Studying things like these sums up to Electronics and Communication Engineering. It is basically the “Building Blocks” of the devices we use every day. It covers the study of semiconductors, communication devices, counters, the modes of communication, designing circuits, and what not!

SCOPE: ECE has an amazing scope in the employment sector. There’s a variety of things you can take up after doing this. Some of them are IT, Telecommunications, Health equipment, Chemical synthesis. Jobs in the government sector. You could even contribute to the environment through Electric cars or green energy-based projects.

4. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING:

ABOUT: Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering. It deals with the designing, construction, and functioning of machines. From trusses to designing heavy machinery to pulleys, Mechanical engineering branches has it all. The program endows students with a basic understanding and knowledge of how heavy tools and machinery work.

SCOPE: They can find employment in both government and the private sector. It requires mechanical engineers to design, test, manufacture, install, operate, and maintain an array of machines and mechanical systems that are used in industries. There is a great scope of job avenues for mechanical engineers in India.

5. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING:

ABOUT: Electrical engineering is a branch where the application of electricity comes into play. The hardware of the circuits, designing them, and lots more. It is more of a field job in eminent power plants and industries.

SCOPE: The jobs are available in broadly two categories: Telecommunications and Power engineers. Both of them are essential and help a great deal with even our day-to-day chores.

6. CHEMICAL ENGINEERING:

ABOUT: Chemical engineering is a branch of engineering that uses principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, and economics to efficiently use, produce, design, transport, and transform energy and materials. The major role of chemical engineers is to design and troubleshoot processes for the production of chemicals, fuels, foods, pharmaceuticals, and biologicals, just to name a few.

SCOPE: we expect the demand for chemical engineers at major chemical and pharmaceutical companies to continue, but at a slower pace than average through 2020. It ties employment to the overall state of manufacturing and to the technologies used to create products (biotechnology, alternative energies, etc.).

7. CIVIL ENGINEERING:

ABOUT: Civil Engineering is the most fundamental branch of engineering. From all the buildings to shopping malls, to even roads, Civil engineering forms the basis of it. B. Tech Civil is an undergraduate degree of 4 years. It is an appropriate course to pursue in the current economy.  India is a developing nation and the need for skilled civil engineers is high. Thus, to design and build infrastructure projects, the need for skillful civil engineers is dire. But doing such a course has some prerequisites and eligibility criteria.

SCOPE: After taking up the under graduation Civil Engineering course, there’s a wide scope of things that open up. Doing an MBA course is a good option that reaps a good-paying job. I do admissions through a national level entrance examination. If you wish to continue in civil engineering, M.tech is a great option. Specialization in a subject gives you immense knowledge and experience. The pool for jobs is slightly smaller, though. You can take up the job of a Structural Engineer, Geotechnical Engineers, Site Engineers, Construction Engineers, etc.

8. AEROSPACE ENGINEERING:

ABOUT: Aerospace Engineering is that branch of Engineering & Science that provides the knowledge to design, manufacture and maintain aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, weapons, and other defense systems. It covers two aspects of Engineering–Aeronautical Engineering.

SCOPE: Aeronautical Engineering scope in India is so high because of the aviation sector growing so fastest. India is the third-largest civil aviation market in the world, having the potential to become. The demand for the Aeronautical Engineers is increasing day by day.

9. BIOCHEMICAL ENGINEERING:

ABOUT: The study would focus on fermentation and downstream processing. How to make a genetically changed bacteria/yeast produce the desired biomolecule and then how to purify that molecule (separate it from broth and contaminants). But at its core, the principle chemical engineering fundamentals of Mass and energy balances, Thermodynamics, Transport phenomena, process design.

SCOPE: After successful completion of the course, biochemical engineers mostly work in biological laboratories of both government and corporate levels. They usually work with a group of biologists or chemists. Biotechnology firms, food and beverage companies, agriculture and chemical industries, waste management firms, petroleum oil and gas fields, biomedical firms, engineering design companies, pharmaceutical companies, construction companies, and ecological and environmental agencies offer excellent prospects for biochemical engineers.

10. MARINE ENGINEERING:

ABOUT: A Marine engineer is a professional who has studied marine engineering (sometimes also called maritime engineering) and is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all major mechanical and engineered equipment onboard a ship. Several mechanical systems help in the operations of any vessel like propulsion mechanics, electricity and power generation system, lubrication, fuel systems, water distillation, lighting, and air conditioning system, etc. These are all included in the technical responsibilities of a marine engineer.

SCOPE: Marine engineering is a lucrative career option as it offers high pay packages. Once you complete your 4-year B. E or B. Tech degree in marine engineering from a top college in Bangalore, you are set to explore the vast career opportunities. With the increase in international global sea traffic, the demand for marine engineers in private and government shipping companies has upsurged significantly.
