UPDGME UP NEET Counseling 2020: Schedule, Registration, Eligibility, Admission

UP MBBS 2020 counseling will be conducted by Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET).  DMET, Lucknow is also known as UPDGME . The counseling process of NEET will be conducted in three rounds including a mop-up round. UP MBBS Counseling 2020 schedules, eligibility and registration details are given below.

UP MBBS Counseling 2020 Eligibility

Those candidates who have qualified and are in the merit list of UP MBBS 2020 will participate in the UP NEET counseling 2020 session for admission under 85 percent state quota seats. Candidate who wants to take part in the counseling will have to go through the document verification process. The counseling will be based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-NEET.

UP MBBS Counseling Schedules

For the first round the UPDGME Counselling online registrations, last date to fill the application form, document verification date, release of merit list, choice filling, seat allotment list and reporting at the allotted college dates are yet to be announced.

For the second round release of application form, last date to register, publication of merit list, verification of document, filling and locking of choices, round two result and reporting at the allotted college is yet to be announced.

For on the spot admissions the registration starting date, due date to apply for admissions, release of merit lists, spot admissions at the college/institute are yet to be announced.

UP MBBS Counseling 2020 Registration

Here are the steps to be followed for UP MBBS 2020 Counseling. Students who have their names in the merit list will have to follow the steps

LOG IN

Candidate will have to log in with the credentials using the NEET 2020 roll number and password that they have created while registering. After the log in a list of colleges will then be displayed in the screen after the successful login.

Online Option Entry

From the appeared colleges candidates will be required to choose the colleges they wish to get into. Aspirants can choose as many colleges as they want. Aspirants will have the option to delete the selected colleges and interchange it. Aspirants are required to save the choices after selection.

UPDGME Online Choice Locking

After filling up the choices aspirants will have to lock the choices for the final submission before the updgme counseling. Candidates must know that the choices saved and locked cannot be deleted or interchanged. They are the final. Therefore the candidates are advised to lock their choices carefully.

UP MBBS Seat Allotment

Based on the choices filled by the candidates rank in the examination, availability of sears, reservation and other factors, the authority will have to conduct the seat allotment. Candidates who will be allotted seats will be required to report to the allotted college before the stipulated time period along with the required documents.

UP NEET Counseling-Security Money

Each aspirant will have to pay the security money which will be filled by a demand draft. The demand draft will be drawn in the favor of Director General, Medical Education and Training UP. This demand draft will be payable at the nodal office in Lucknow. After the completion of the UP NEET 2020 admission procedure the security money will be returned to the aspirants. . Any candidate who wishes to appear for counseling meant only for government colleges will be required to pay a sum of Rs 30,000.

An aspirant who wishes to appear for the counseling for admission in private medical colleges will be required to pay an amount of Rs 2,00,000. Those who want to participate in both the government and private colleges will have to pay a sum of Rs 2,00,000.

If the aspirant does not appear in the college where he or she has been allotted the seat or withdraws from admission after the final UP MBBS 2020 admission process, the security money deposited by the candidate will not be refunded. Changes in UPDGME NEET 2020 Counseling (according to 2019)

1. Fourteen new medical colleges have been added. In the fourteen colleges seven are private and seven are government.
2. The number of government medical colleges are now 22 earlier they were 15.
3. For 2019 academic session total MBBS seats available in government colleges were 2265.
4. The number of private colleges with the addition of seven new medical colleges were 24.
5. The MCI affiliation have been taken away from 5 private medical colleges.
6. Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences has increased its seat capacity to 150 from 100. The college is a private one located in Hapur.

8. Varun Arjun Medical College, Shahjahanpur
9. MSY Medical College and Hospital, Meerut
10. GCRG Institute of medical sciences, Lucknow
11. Glocal Medical College Super Specialty Hospital and Research Center, Saharanpur
12. Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences Amroha.
