What is NDA ?
The National Defense Academy is the joint training academy of the Indian Armed Forces and is situated near Khadakwasla, Pune. After qualifying 12th, and Before entering their individual service department, students are trained together in schools, cadets from the Army, Navy, and Air Force . UPSC conducts both the NDA 1 and NDA 2 exams twice a year offering students a bright opportunity to be a part of Indian Military.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC NDA-2 :
| Educational Qualification | Army Wing: 10+2 passed or appearing from a recognized board. Air Force & Naval Wings: 10+2 passed or appearing with Physics and Mathematics. |
| Age Limit | Age limit is 16.5 to 19.5 years. Candidates must be born between January 2, 2007, and January 1, 2010 to be eligible for NDA 2 2025. |
| Nationality | Must be a citizen of India, subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee (before 1962). |
Selection Process :
The process involves selection in following stages :
Stage 1- Written Examination
This includes of a offline exam of 2 subject Mathematics (300 marks) and General Ability Test (GAT) 600 marks, Each subject is allotted 2.5 hr.
Stage 2- SSB Interview
Conducted to test the skill of candidate. It takes in two stages over 5 days, includes intelligence, psychology, group tasks, and personal interview. Total Marks weightage is 900.
Stage 3- Medical Interview
Candidates must meet physical and visual standards as per defense norms.
