Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has opened the Trade, Technician, and Graduate Apprentice programs for 2025 under the aforementioned Apprentices Act,1961. The notification released for the Southern Region, covering several states, has opened up 475 vacancies for a period of 12 months before the completion of training for Trade, Technician, and Graduate apprentices in multiple disciplines.
Eligibility Criteria

Application Process
Step I: Registration on NAPS / NATS Portals
Trade Apprentices: Register on NAPS at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
Technician Graduates: Register on NATS at nats.education.gov.in

Choose IOCL as establishment and the trade or discipline of interest.
When registering ensure you have correctly filled out all the information in your profile including usually the aggregate marks, an email and mobile number that you frequently use.
Step II: Apply on IOCL Website
After Step I, open IOCL’s website (iocrefrecruit.in or iocl.com), find the heading “Engagement of Apprentices – Refineries Division” (or Southern Region)
Complete your application between 8 August 2025 and 5 September 2025
Attach scanned colour photo and signature (≤ 50 KB, jpg)
Concluding Compliance
Both steps are required, any incomplete submissions are invalid.
Use the same email address and mobile number on both portals.
Retain a printout and screen acknowledgment for future reference.
Ensure all of the details are reviewed carefully.

Selection Process
Application Submission – Complete NAPS/NATS registration and IOCL online application.
Merit List Preparation – Will be done based on percentage mark in any of the qualifying exams (ITI/Diploma/Degree).
Tie-Breaking – Older candidate will be preferred and then candidate with higher matriculation marks.
Documents Verification – Educational/ Age / Category certificates checked and validated.
Medical Exam – On the pro-rata basis as required by Apprentices Act & IOCL.
Finally Selection & Joining – The apprenticeship will commence only after completing the above 5 actions successfully.
Salary Structure for IOCL Trade Apprentice 2025
| Graduate Apprentice | Rs.9,000 | Rs.4,500 from BOAT (DBT) + Rs.4,500 from IOCL |
| Technician Apprentice | Rs.8,000 | Rs.4,000 from BOAT (DBT) + Rs.4,000 from IOCL |
| Trade Apprentice | Rs.7,000 – Rs.9,000 | Fully paid by IOCL, varies by trade/qualification |
